Starting OpenJUMP

OpenJUMP Stable version EXE for windows installs the software and provides to download JRE1.5 if not installed. It also creates an icon on desktop to run OpenJUMP.

ZIP versions (both Stable and Nightly Snapshot) must be decopressed in a folder. In this case the software is starded using Script (openjump.bat, for Windows, and Openjump.sh, for Linux and for MacOSX) which are in OpenJUMP/BIN folder.

LINUX

• Decompresse the file OpenJUMPXX.ZIP
• Open a consolle and write: chmod +x openjump.sh (command +x makes the script file openjump.sh executable) and run
• Run Openjump by consolle with command: ./openjump.sh

MACOSX

• Decompress the file OpenJUMPXX.ZIP
• Move OPENJUMP folder to the folder Applications
• Open a Consolle
• Write cd Applications/OPENJUMP/bin and run.
• On consolle write sh openjump.sh and run

WINDOWS

• Decompress the file OpenJUMPXX.ZIP
• Open Folder OpenJUMP/BIN
• Run OpenJUMP by clicking twice on Openjump.bat file
